TERESA Bracelet - Palladium
“Béton Brut”
Brutalism is a movement of honesty. Nothing is concealed or pretends to be what it is not. This intentional absence of decoration and rawness in forms and materials inspired the latest collection from Warchausky Design Studio. Endowed with geometric abstraction, plays of light and shadow, and unquestionable simplicity, the jewelry pieces evoke a Brutalist building.
Derived from “Béton Brut” (raw concrete), Brutalism is a style that emerged in the 1950s in the United Kingdom in post-war reconstruction projects. Associated with Le Corbusier, the architecture is identified by its transparent purpose, rigid geometry, and large-scale use of poured concrete.
Designer Nayibe Warchausky, a Venezuelan with Russian and Lebanese roots, was inspired by this movement and found references in Venezuela, from Parque Central to the Teresa Carreño Theater and Ciudad Universitaria. The result is mathematically deconstructed tunnels in different directions and angles, translated into garments to wear.
All the pieces are presented in brass with 24-karat yellow gold and palladium plating, handmade by Italian artisans and master jewelers. One of the keys to the collection is that the pendant sculptures can be added to a chain so that everyone can create unique brutalist combinations.
Nayibe Warchausky combines design and selected materials to create unique jewelry. Each piece, made of brass coated with 24k gold and palladium PVD, is handcrafted by passionate Italian artisans and master jewelers, receiving meticulous care and strict controls during all stages of production.
